TUNA PASTA BAKE
Just a very quick recipe today. Again, one of my sons favourites and a recipe I’ve used for a very long time.
200g dried pasta. (I normally use fusilli pasta but the choice is yours)
150ml of milk
A packet of cheese sauce mix (you can make your own, which I used to do, but this is much quicker)
150g of mature cheddar cheese, grated (you can use a hard cheese of your choice)
1 Tin of tuna chunks, drained
Salt & pepper to season
Preheat your oven to gas mark 6/200C/400F
Cook your pasta in a large pan of salted boiling water. Whilst your pasta is cooking, make up your cheese sauce according to the instructions.
Once your pasta is cooked drain and set aside.
Add your tuna and half of your grated cheese to the cheese sauce and mix, then add the mix to your pasta a stir in until all the pasta is combined with the sauce.
Transfer your pasta and tuna mix into an oven proof dish, sprinkle the rest of your cheese over the top.
Put your dish in to your preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until the cheese starts to brown on top. Remove from oven and leave to stand for about 5 minutes.
Serve and enjoy.
